Program Info

StarSong provides a safe, warm, home-like environment for children 6 months to 3 1/2 years. Children can get the experience of being one of the youngest and growing into one of the oldest children, as they continue in our care. We welcome infants and toddlers, and provide a rich program with many of the activities of the Waldorf nursery/kindergarten.

We offer both morning and full-day programs:

Mondays - Thursdays: Mornings, 8:30-12:30; Full day, 8:30-4:30 (CLOSED on Fridays)

There are 4-day, 3-day and 2-day options:

Days are flexible - check with us for availability. StarSong is currently FULLY enrolled with a waitlist

We provide nutritious lunches of organic whole grains and vegetables, and parents provide organic fruit for our morning snack. Most of our cooking and baking is gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free. We can accommodate many food restrictions (though my home is not nut-free nor entirely gluten-free). For infants under age 1, we will work with you to provide the foods your child has been exposed to at home; you may be asked to provide food, in addition to breastmilk or formula, as needed.

How to Enroll

  • Please email or call us at 303-442-0998 to request an information packet and to arrange a visit. We typically arrange initial visits for the end of the day (around 5 pm) so we can answer your questions; please plan to bring your child (other family members are also welcome!). After this initial visit, it is also possible to arrange to visit with your child some morning before (or after) making your decision to enroll. *Due to COVID-19, visit options may be limited -- with options for masked visit spent mostly outside or via Zoom.
  • When you decide to enroll, please return the application form along with the $30 application fee, the contract and the non-refundable deposit fee*, which assures your child’s place.
  • For tuition information and deposit* amounts, click here
  • Once your contract is in, you are part of the StarSong community and are invited to all parent evenings and festivals, even before your child starts. As they transition into the group, we will set up some visits for you and your child to come together for part of the morning. Shortly before or within the first few weeks following your child’s starting to attend, we can also arrange to visit you in your home, if desired. This home visit provides an opportunity for us to start to know your child and family better. We love to see your child “in action,” and toddlers are usually excited to show us their room and toys. This strengthens the child’s bridge between home and school and also gives us an opportunity to discuss any questions on the application form, such as current nap and eating patterns, any allergies, and so forth.

We’re looking forward to meeting you and your child and hope to work together with your family! Please email or call us if you have any questions (303-442-0998).

*Please note that the enrollment deposit holds your child’s place and is nonrefundable, should your plans change for any reason. The amount is equal to and becomes the “Materials and Equipment Fee."
